Current Job vacancy 

Vacancy: Part Time Art Club Leader

Organisation: Forge Urban Revival c/o The Wakes, Oakengates. Telford

 

Forge Urban Revival are seeking an enthusiastic Art Club Leader to run:

1 x Saturday Art Club and 1 x After School Art Club per month.

 

The successful Candidate will ideally have the following qualities:

 

  • Be passionate about making a difference to children and families in the local and wider community and have experience of working with children between the ages of 1 -18

  • Have experience in Arts & Crafts and be able to confidently plan and lead activities. (supported by a volunteer)

 

The candidate will be required to carry out the following duties:

 

  • Plan and deliver Art & Craft activities to engage children from 1-18.

  • Work independently and take full responsibility for the class, utilising and developing skills of the volunteer.

  • Display excellent communication skills in order to liaise with children & young people, parents, other staff and Line Manager.

  • Complete effectively any necessary administration duties such as; feedback from parents along with observation of activities and evaluations.

  • Assist in providing a safe environment and follow Forge Urban Revivals procedure and policy regarding safeguarding of Children and young people.

  • Must be happy to complete a full (DBS) Disclosure & Barring Service check if a current one is not already held.

 

The vacancy: One Saturday per month 10-1             One Tuesday per month 4-5.30

           Additional time for planning and administration

                                    Total hours per month = 6 hours

We are currently seeking volunteers to:

  • Support our summer holiday programme of arts and crafts

  • Also seeking support with our soup social held on a Tuesday, helping to bring the soup to tables.
