The Wakes is an exciting and unique venue opening in Telford - offering a modern industrial themed interior for meetings and social events and we would like to show you around. 

​

The Wakes is unique in that it offers a great venue/meeting place, wonderful local sourced food, award winning coffees all in a modern industrial interior but more than that it will also be a profit for purpose organisation.   So when you spend money in forge@ the wakes you are automatically supporting the local community.

The wakes will be the home of Oakengates Town Council but with the events, fab food and workshops/meetings/ parties hosted by FORGE Urban Revival – this is an exciting partnership approach.

The Wakes offers the following:

• Sit down company dinner/event for up to 120 people

• Will offer business meeting space

• A place to hold a party, celebration or family gathering

• It will offer board room meeting space

• It will offer a space for music, theatre and other cultural events

• Room for breakfast or lunch meetings all celebrating local produce

• It offers workshop space

• A modern eating space with homemade and award winning local produce

• A licensed bar

• In fact if you have an idea for our space then get in touch - it might be that you want to run an activity, group meeting, workshop or fair.

 

We will also run regular events, evening entertainment and chance to attend workshops and learn.

We are open every day and evening for private hire functions, workshops and events.  In addition Forge opens its cafe for refreshments, breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea to the public every Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9-3pm.

We also have a community space for art, craft cooking workshops and so much more for you to learn, share and join in.

All profits from The Wakes will be ploughed back into FORGE to offer as many free events to the community as possible.

Within October In early 20th century Oakengates used to have fair come to town this was known as Wakes Week.
