Join us for an evening waterccolour workshop, where the group will look at developing their skilis in watercolour landscapes. All materials will be provided. There is a small charge of £3 per person for this workshop. No booking required. Come along and join in.

This is a great new meet-up being offered at Forge at The Wakes.

A chance to simply come together and work on a craft that you have been meaning to do, a chance to share skills with each other and to simply natter with like minded people.

Its free to attend and is very informal. Cafe/coffee shop open.

Bhangra Fitness

This exciting Bhangra fitness is just £4 per person per session, so if you want to try something new for 2019 then this could be it.
A unique dance and fitness class offering a great way to meet new people and have fun at the same-time.

This workshop is on every Thursday from 7.15-8 pm at The Wakes. To book or for more info contact Jee on 07851270409

Join us to celebrate unique art, wonderful craft and fab food alongside a day of carnival in the streets.

This wonderful fayre showcasing some of the best of Shropshire's art, craft and food producers. 30+ stands, and a fabulous fresh food cafe.

Fayre starts from 10am up to 2pm, free to enter and enjoy.

If you want a stand book early as the fayres do sell out £6 a table.

Forge launches its No Waste Friday lunch club on Friday 17th January. The lunch is for all those who love food, meeting up with others and/or hate food waste and costs just 2.00 pp for a wonderfully freshly cooked lunch. Join others at the table to enjoy what ever Forge is cooking up on the day (there will always be a veggie option available). A great chance to join others at the table as you eat and chat.

This new weekly lunch club is for all whether you come on your own, as a family, with friends or others.

The No Waste Friday lunch club is part of Forge's sustainable food strategy. In addition we will offer food products for suggested donations to take home with you on the day (subject to availability) so do not miss out.

A new monthly meet up for those interested in photography and want to learn more about making the most out of your camera. Also looking at the technicalities of transferring and saving photos onto your laptop and sending photos to others.
David will be available at these meet ups to discuss what you need to know.
Free to attend just drop in between 10 and 12, treat yourself to a coffee and talk all things photography.

Free to attend craft activity, children to be accompanied by an adult.

Session runs from 10-1pm. Age group 4-18 years with different levels of activity dependent on ability.

Do you write poetry or love reading or listening to it? Then join us for a poetry meet-up.

A chance to share, read and or discuss poetry with others. The group meet the second Tuesday of every month. No cost and no need to book just turn up on the evening.

This is a meet-up for all those who simply love books. A chance to talk about books, share recent readings, discuss film productions of books, how people in the local community might be more engaged with reading etc. This is a free event and is suitable for people over the age of 16. Local resident Alison will be leading this meet up at Forge. No need to book just turn up on the evening. Please message Forge if you want more information about this exciting new meet-up.
Forge cafe/coffee bar and licensed bar will be open up until 7pm on the evening.

​Do not bin, throw away, stop wearing or stop loving why not bring to the Telford Repair Cafe

Our next Telford Repair Cafe is at Forge at The Wakes on the last Saturday of the month. Like this event and we will keep you informed on the repairers who will join us on the day.

If you are planning to bring something over to our Repair Cafe then sometimes its a good idea to let us know, perhaps send us a message and we can plan for your item coming in.

How about a wonderful bowl of freshly made soup for lunch?

Well join us on a Tuesday at Forge at The Wakes 12-1pm and you can have a freshly made bowl of soup, with some real butter (if you want) and bread for just £1.

​

All we ask is you select the dedicated Soup Social tables and sit alongside others enjoying the soup. Its a great way to meet others, find out whats going on locally and discover events, workshops you might get involved in.

​

If you have any gluts in veg growing and can spare veg for our soup socials then just bring them along, we always welcome the chance to be creative !
